Imagine the heartbreak. Your side are bottom of the table and you’re winning 3-2 at high flying West Brom….
You blink. Your team concede twice and you’re all but relegated. Welcome to the world of a Colchester fan. They could in fact be 15 points adrift with 5 games to go if Sheffield Wednesday win tonight.
One thing is pretty much certain. They won’t be playing Port Vale next season. They’re doomed as well. Shame that, as they could have had the ‘dullest club to support in the country’ derby next season. Instead it will now be Wycombe playing Port Vale for that accolade next season.
Other than that, nothing much was decided this weekend and its still all to play for up and down Fizzy Pop Leagues 1-3.
In the Fizzy Pop Game itself, Russell scored a massive 21 points having predicted all 7 games correctly!! “He’s got…some people are on the pitch, they think its all over….”
Champs
Lee Hendrie
Yes, that Lee Hendrie. He’s not dead. He’s not a coach at Farsley Celtic. He is in fact playing, and scoring for Leicester City. They grabed a massive 3 points against Scunthorpe to keep their survival hopes alive. And to think people were tipping Leicester for the title at the start of the season….idiots
Phil Brown
Hull are quite possibly the team of the season in any of the divisions. Sitting 3rd in the league and just 2 points behind the leaders, being granted the freedom of the city must be manager Phil Brown’s mind. Hopefully not though, cos it would be a shame if that thought put him off. Meanwhile Derby fans lick their lips at the prospect of having their ‘record’ for lowest ever points score in the Premiership beaten at the first attempt.

Chumps
John Batchelor
Who? Perhaps he should change his name to ‘that bloke who thought it would be a good idea to put in a bid to buy the team 91st in the League and rename them Harchester United in homeage to that Sky One series of yesteryear dreamteam.’ What a numpty. Ill have whatever he’s been smoking, if Amy Winehouse hasn’t injected/snorted/smoked it already.
Talking of Dreamteam, its good to see Linda Block doing well for herself running a knicker factory on Corination Street….She’s still fit as sin though, hey Fizzy Pop’ers!!
